●A place to eat ●Japanese 【Furumachi】
Ohashiya was founded in 1866. Our story began when the first generation bought a villa from the Niigata shogunate administrator Kawamura Seibei, and started a seafood brokerage business. Built by many master craftsmen, the main hall was completed in 1935, and in 2003 it was designated a Registered Tangible Cultural Property by the Agency for Cultural Affairs. The new handicapped-accessible building Honcho Saryo was completed in 2002, and offers both tatami mat seating and Western-style tables. Each of our dishes is carefully crafted using master technique. Our Vinegared vegetables with edible chrysanthemums, Sesame tofu, Seabass, and Sweet simmered tomatoes, etc. make for a colorful table.
