●A place to eat ●Japanese 【Furumachi】
Founded over 80 years ago. The canal that gives Nishibori (West Canal) Street its name was once flowing with water, and little boats moved up and down it. Nishibori is right in the middle of Niigata’s pleasure quarters, making it a place where Japanese restaurants could really shine. There are many temples along the street, and the area has long been a famous temple town, so ceremonial functions are frequently held here. As the population has aged, we have placed tables and chairs on our tatami floors, to the delight of our guests. In front of our restaurant, we have provided a shop where single guests can enjoy a casual meal, called Japanese Cuisine Stand Dainao.
