The name of the historic restaurant Kinone comes from the first generation owner (the present owner is the 3rd generation), after the Kinone Teahouse on the road between Shitada and Aizu in the Kinone mountain pass. “A teahouse in a mountain pass is an oasis for weary travelers to rest after their labor and prepare for the next stage of their journey. We want to be that sort of place for our guests,” is the reason for selecting the name. Enjoy seasonal traditional dishes made from carefully selected fresh local seasonal ingredients. We await your visit in our casual home-style restaurant.
