Saisaburo

Located in Niigata’s Shimomachi for more than 30 years. We serve Niigata-brewed sake with various dishes made from local ingredients, to the rave reviews of many guests. Our popular fried half chicken can be made with curry, salt and pepper, or garlic flavors. The owner is from the Sasagawa Nagare seaside area in northern Niigata, so he makes souring local seafood and other ingredients a top priority. The floor seating area on the 2nd floor is by reservation only. Please make your reservation by telephone at least one day in advance.

Fried Half Chicken700 yen

Half of a Niigata-raised chicken, deep-fried. Popular with curry, garlic, or salt and pepper seasonings. If you haven’t tried it yet, please do. We can serve it cut up if you so desire.

Sashimi400 to 700 yen per item

In addition to the standard types, we serve rare local white fish fresh as sashimi. We can serve sashimi on a per item basis, or make an arrangement of your preference. If you choose the chef’s choice, he will serve an assortment of that day’s best catch.
