Soba Yamabun

Our shop was founded in 1864. The founder’s name was Yamagataya Bunkichi, which was shortened to Yamabun. Since the final years of the Edo era , we have been happy to be a beloved Niigata institution. We await your visit with a varied menu that takes into account the requests of guests young and old. At the moment, some works of the poet and calligrapher Aizu Yaichi, a close friend of the third generation owner, are on display within the shop. Please come and take a look.
