The Niigata Tokyu Inn restaurant Shangri La supports Niigata agriculture by serving dishes made from carefully selected Niigata ingredients such as Asahi Pork and Niigata-raised chickens. We also participate in the prefectural initiative “R10 Project” to promote the use of Niigata-raised rice flour. We’d love for you to try our local cuisine. We await your visit.

Asahi Pork Sauteed in Ginger Sauce2,000 yen

This ginger fried pork meal features pork raised in the former Asahi village area of northern Niigata. The Asahi Pork Distribution Association raises pigs until maturity at 180 days on their specially-made diet consisting mainly of barley, to produce a top quality meat.
